Then, Indigenous Peoples were conflictual but had a deep respect for the balance of life. Here, I remember Chief Basil Coetzee always talking about the manner in which the Khoikhoi grazed their cattle to prevent over-grazing.

Now, KhoiSan descendents have begun to re-emerge in order to restore that respect for the balance of life in the aftermath of the gross violations to our planet.
